Blending Comics with Emerging Tech

We realized that animated comic content is still rare on Western TikTok, but when looking into Chinese TikTok (Douyin) we saw that the content and strategy there are much more advanced. Since the app launched earlier in China and already built a huge user base, creators had more time to experiment with formats and audience engagement. We noticed a strong manga and anime fan base on the platform, which showed us the potential of this kind of content. That inspired us to try bringing manga-style animated comics to Western TikTok, using new tools like AI animation to make our stories more dynamic and appealing.

Early content exploration
At first, we used a funny American TV show style for our content, but it was difficult to enhance with AI tools and the first post on our test account doesn't get a lot of views. As we saw anime style gaining popularity in Western countries, we switched directions, which made the workflow smoother and connected better with our audience.
